These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the PageGrab service ("Service"), operated by PageGrab ("we", "us", or "our"). By using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Description of Service
PageGrab provides a web API that allows users to capture screenshots and generate PDFs of web pages. The Service is provided on a subscription basis with various pricing tiers.
2. Account Registration
To use the Service, you must obtain an API key through our website or RapidAPI marketplace. You are responsible for:
- Keeping your API key confidential and secure
- All activities that occur using your API key
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use
3. Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to use the Service to:
- Capture content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable
- Capture content you do not have the right to access or reproduce
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
- Attempt to circumvent usage limits or security measures
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
- Use the Service for any form of surveillance without proper consent
- Capture content from websites that prohibit automated access
4. Payment and Billing
Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly basis. You agree to:
- Pay all fees associated with your chosen plan
- Provide accurate billing information
- Accept that subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled
Refunds may be issued at our discretion. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us within 30 days.
5. Usage Limits
Each plan includes specific usage limits (screenshots per month, requests per minute). Exceeding these limits may result in:
- Temporary service throttling
- Requirement to upgrade your plan
- Additional charges for overage (if applicable)
6. Intellectual Property
You retain ownership of any screenshots or PDFs generated through the Service. However, you are solely responsible for ensuring you have the right to capture and use the content.
The Service, including its design, code, and documentation, remains our exclusive property.
7. Data Retention
Screenshots and PDFs are stored temporarily based on your plan:
- Free plan: 7 days
- Starter/Pro plans: 30 days
- Business plan: 90 days
After this period, files are automatically deleted. You are responsible for downloading and backing up any content you wish to retain.
8. Service Availability
We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may:
- Perform maintenance with or without notice
- Modify or discontinue features
- Experience downtime due to factors beyond our control
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
- The Service is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim
- We are not responsible for the content of websites you capture
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for:
- Violation of these Terms
- Non-payment of fees
- Abuse or misuse of the Service
- Any other reason at our discretion
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new Terms on our website. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which our company is registered, without regard to conflict of law principles.
